Arrival in Tanzania → Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and meet your professional safari guide for a warm welcome and transfer to Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the hotel or enjoy an optional visit to Arusha National Park. This gives you a gentle introduction to Tanzania’s landscapes and wildlife, with opportunities to see giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, monkeys, and colorful birdlife. Later, check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening before your Great Serengeti Migration Safari begins.

Arusha → Central Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park, traveling through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania. The drive takes you toward the famous Central Serengeti, an important wildlife area known for its year-round game viewing and abundant predator populations. As you enter the park, begin your first game drive and look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, and hyenas. Depending on the season and location of the herds, you may already encounter the Great Serengeti Migration. Continue toward your camp for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day Central Serengeti Migration Experience
After breakfast, spend a full day exploring Central Serengeti, following wildlife activity and the seasonal movement of the herds. Early morning game drives offer excellent opportunities to see predators and herbivores when they are most active. Explore the open plains and rocky kopjes while searching for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, and hyenas. Depending on the time of year, the location of the migrating herds may provide opportunities to witness large concentrations of wildebeest and zebras. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive and returning to camp in the evening.

Central Serengeti → Northern Serengeti
After breakfast, begin your journey from Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti, enjoying a game drive along the way. This area is particularly important during parts of the year when the migrating herds move toward the northern Serengeti and Mara River region. Your guide will follow recent wildlife movements and select suitable routes for the best possible viewing opportunities. Along the journey, look for wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and other wildlife. Arrive in Northern Serengeti later in the day and settle into your camp.

Full-Day Northern Serengeti & Mara River Area
Wake up early for a full day of exploring Northern Serengeti, one of the most important areas for the Great Serengeti Migration during the northern migration season. Spend the day following the herds and exploring the plains and river areas with your experienced safari guide. When the migration is in the region and conditions are suitable, you may have an opportunity to witness wildebeest gathering around the Mara River. River crossings are natural wildlife events and cannot be guaranteed, but spending time in the area gives you the best opportunity when the herds are present. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day before continuing your game drive in search of predators and other wildlife.

Depending on your route and timing, you may enjoy additional wildlife viewing along the way. Arrive at your accommodation in the Ngorongoro area, where you can relax and prepare for the following day’s crater experience.

Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and, with some luck, rhinos. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before beginning your ascent and continuing toward Arusha.
